Never Fail Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    3 Tbsp. water
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients and roll out thin.
    Let dry about 20 minutes.
    Cut into strips and drop into chicken broth and cook. When done, cut up one hard-boiled egg into dumplings.
