Taco Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/4 c. water
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 pkg. taco mix
2 (9-inch) deep dish pie shells
1 (16 oz.) jar salsa
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Cheddar cheese, shredded
1 small onion, chopped
garlic
salt
oregano
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Brown meat and drain.
Cook onion until tender.
Combine meat, onion, taco mix, salsa and tomato sauce.
Add water.
Add garlic, salt and oregano to taste.
Mix well.
Place ingredients in 1 pie shell and top with half of the cheese.
Place the second crust on top and seal.
Bake until pie shell is brown.
Remove from oven and place remaining cheese on top of pie while it is hot.
