Almond Butter Crunch - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cup butter or margarine
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1 1/3 cups sugar
    3 Tbsp. water
    1 cup coarsely chopped almonds, toasted
    4-4 1/2 oz. milk chocolate bars, melted
    1 cup finely chopped almonds, toasted
Preparation
    In a large sauce pan, melt butter; add sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook; stirring occasionally, to hard-crack stage (300 degrees). Quickly stir coarsely chopped nuts; spread in ungreased 13x9 inch pan. Cool thoroughly. Turn out on waxed paper; spread top with half the chocolate; sprinkle with half the finely chopped almonds. Cover with waxed paper, invert. Spread with chocolate; sprinkle with remaining nuts. If necessary, chill to firm, crack in pieces.
