Cherry Nut Filling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1 large can milk
    1 pkg. frozen coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 c. chopped cherries
    1 tsp. vanilla flavor
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine sugar, egg yolks and milk.
    Cook until mixture thickens.
    Remove from heat.
    Cool, then add other ingredients. Use over yellow mixture.
