Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. brown sugar (firm)
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sour milk
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. plain flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. diced raw apples
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grease well a 9 x 15-inch cake pan; set aside.
Cream together shortening, sugar and salt.
Dissolve soda in sour milk.
Add flour, eggs and spices alternating with milk; mix well.
Fold in apples.
Spoon into prepared pan and spread with topping.
