24 Hour Layer Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

lettuce, torn in bite size pieces
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 red pepper, chopped
1/2 c. celery, chopped
1/2 c. sweet Spanish onion, sliced thin
1 pkg. frozen peas
4 oz. sugar
grated Cheddar cheese
8 slices crisp fried bacon, crumbled
Preparation

Line 13 x 9 x 2-inch Pyrex dish with lettuce.
Sprinkle with peppers.
Add layer of celery, then layer of onion and layer of frozen peas.
Combine rest of the ingredients.
Combine rest of ingredients and put on top, then sprinkle top with cheese. Refrigerate overnight.
No cooking; no salt.
