Pickled Eggs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 to 16 hard-boiled eggs
    2 c. white vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. pickling spice
    1 sliced onion (optional)
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except eggs.
    Simmer for about 5 minutes.
    Place peeled eggs in a large heavy jar and cover with liquid.
    Let stand for several days before serving for improved flavor.
    Can use several pods of sliced garlic, if desired.
