Fudge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening, butter or margarine
    1/4 c. sugar
    2 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. cake flour, sifted
    1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    3/4 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Cream butter or margarine or shortening and sugar until light. Add melted chocolate.
    Add well beaten eggs and vanilla.
    Sift and measure flour with cream of tartar and salt.
    Add milk. Measure baking soda in a cup and add boiling water.
    Add this quickly to cake mix and stir well.
    Pour into a well-greased 12 x 8 x 1 1/2-inches deep or 10-inch square pan, 2-inches deep.
    Bake 40 to 50 minutes at 325\u00b0.
