Luscious Lemon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 egg yolks
    3/4 c. butter, softened
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    2 1/2 c. sifted cake flour
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. grated lemon rind
    1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Beat egg yolks at high speed 4 minutes until thick and pale. Set aside.
    Beat butter at medium speed until creamy; gradually add sugar, beating well.
    Add egg yolks, beating well.
    Add combined flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
    Mix after each addition.
    Stir in lemon rind, juice and vanilla.
    Spoon batter into 3 greased and floured 8-inch cake pans.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes.
    Cool in pans on wire rack for 10 minutes; remove from pans and cool completely.
