Fluffy White Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 egg whites
    1/3 c. water
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    In a heavy saucepan or double boiler, combine sugar, egg whites, water and cream of tartar.
    With a portable mixer, beat mixture on low speed for 1 minute.
    Continue beating on low speed over low heat until frosting reaches 160\u00b0, about 8 to 10 minutes. Pour into a large mixing bowl; add vanilla.
    Beat on high speed until frosting forms stiff peaks.
    Makes approximately 7 cups.
