Peggy'S Blueberry Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    2 egg yolks
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 egg whites, beaten stiff
    2 c. fresh blueberries or 1 (No. 2) can
Preparation
    Blend sugar, flour and shortening together to resemble coarse meal.
    Remove 1 cup of mixture for crumbs.
    Set egg whites aside. Add remaining ingredients to crumb mixture and mix until smooth. Gently fold in egg whites.
    Place in greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Spread berries on top and add crumbs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
