Lentil Soup(Shonaba' Addas) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. lentils
    7 c. water
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 c. olive oil
    salt and pepper to taste
    juice of 1 lemon
    1/2 tsp. cumin
Preparation
    Place washed lentils and chopped onion in water and simmer, covered, for one hour.
    Mix oil, flour, salt and spices in a bowl. Add 1/4 cup of soup to mixture and stir well.
    Pour the mixture into the soup and let simmer until the lentils are well cooked. Add lemon juice and simmer five more minutes.
    If desired, garnish with lemon slices.
    Serves 6.
