Hot Buttered Rum - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter (no margarine)
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 lb. brown sugar
    1 lb. powdered sugar
    1 qt. vanilla ice cream
    rum
Preparation
    Melt all ingredients in a saucepan (except ice cream).
    Then beat in ice cream.
    Put 2 to 3 teaspoons of mixture in a cup of hot water.
    Add 1/2 or 1 jigger of rum.
