Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

sliced cucumbers
cauliflower florets
sliced onions
chopped celery
sweet pepper pieces
2 c. vinegar
1 c. water
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
-
Soak vegetables overnight in salt water (1/2 cup to 2 quarts water); drain.
Heat to boiling the remaining ingredients.
Add vegetables; return to boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
Pack in sterile jars.
Process in boiling water bath.
Increase vinegar spice mix as needed for amount of vegetables.
