Overnight Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 slices bread, trimmed and buttered
    1 c. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
    3 c. cooked chicken, chopped
    4 eggs
    3 c. milk
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 small jar pimientos, chopped
    1 hard-boiled egg, chopped (optional)
Preparation
    Place 6 slices of bread in a buttered pan.
    Spread the cheese over the bread.
    Add a layer of chicken.
    Top with remaining bread slices, butter sided down.
    Beat together eggs, milk, salt and pepper.
    Pour over the bread.
    Cover tightly and let stand in refrigerator overnight.
