Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - cooking recipe

1/3 c. margarine
1/2 c. brown sugar
pineapple slices
cherries
nuts
1 1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
1/3 c. soft shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
Preparation

Melt margarine in a 10-inch skillet.
Sprinkle brown sugar over this.
Place pineapple slices, cherries and nuts in the skillet.
Mix together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Then add milk, shortening and vanilla to the flour mixture.
Beat well and then add the egg.
Beat until smooth.
Pour over pineapple slices in skillet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 to 50 minutes.
Invert quickly onto place.
