Birthday Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 c. butter
    4 eggs
    3/4 c. milk
    3 c. plain flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. lemon flavoring
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add well beaten egg yolks.
    Add flour, baking powder, salt, milk and lemon flavoring.
    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until done.
