Brownies(1944 Recipe) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 stick butter or oleo
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts, chopped
Preparation
    Mix eggs, which have been beaten, with sugar; beat well.
    Melt butter and stir in cocoa.
    Add to egg mixture.
    Add flour and vanilla.
    Fold in nuts.
    Bake 1 hour at 300\u00b0 in an 11 x 7 x 1 1/2-inch pan.
    When pan has cooled, cut in squares.
    Double recipe and bake in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
