Annette'S Fried Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
    2 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour or self-rising flour (omit salt)
Preparation
    Mix flour and salt.
    Pour Wesson oil and milk into one measuring cup.
    Don't stir.
    Add all at once to the flour.
    Stir until mixed.
    Shape into balls.
    Place balls between two 12-inch squares of waxed paper.
    (Dampen table top to keep from slipping.) Roll 1/8-inch thick.
    Peel off top paper.
    Cut into 5-inch squares or circles.
    Place a large spoonful of filling on each circle. Fold over filling to make a half circle.
    Seal edges with a fork dipped in flour.
    Fry 4 or 5 minutes in 1-inch of oil.
