Granny M'S Old Fashion Egg Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour or cornstarch
1 Tbsp. lemon extract
2 unbaked pie shells
5 eggs, separated
2 c. sweet milk
1 stick butter or margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

Preparation

Mix sugar, flour and egg yolks.
Beat and stir in the sweet milk and melted butter.
Pour all ingredients into 2 unbaked pie shells.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until done.
Then beat egg whites.
Add sugar and cream of tartar to make stiff.
Ice the egg pies and return to oven until brown.
