Smothered Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or 1 1/2-inch thick sirloin steak or chuck steak
    carrots, julienned
    celery chunks
    onion, sliced
    green pepper, sliced
    potatoes, sliced
    any other vegetables desired
Preparation
    Brown steak in baking pan.
    Top with carrots, celery, onion, green pepper and potatoes.
    Cover with can of stewed tomatoes. Cover pan with foil.
    Bake in moderate oven for 1 hour or until meat is tender.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
