Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 or 3 large green tomatoes
    1 egg
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1/4 c. flour
    shortening
Preparation
    Wash and slice tomatoes, about 1/8 to 1/4-inch thick.
    Beat egg and milk in bowl.
    In another bowl, combine flour and corn meal.
    Dip
    tomatoes in mixture and flour.
    Have shortening deep in skillet.
    Cook until golden brown.
    Salt to taste.
