Fresh Apple Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large apples, peeled and diced
    1 c. sugar
    1/3 c. melted butter or oil
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. cloves
    1/2 c. nuts
    1 egg
Preparation
    Sprinkle sugar over the apples and let stand 10 minutes.
    Add oil and egg.
    Sift in dry ingredients.
    Add nuts.
    Pour into a small greased and floured tube pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 50 minutes.
