Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. water
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 jar fruit or 1 lb.
    1 c. chopped nuts
    2 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    3 c. flour
Preparation
    Bring to a boil the water, raisins, sugar and shortening. Add to mixture while still hot the fruit and nuts.
    Sift and add to cooled mixture the soda, salt, cinnamon, allspice, cloves, nutmeg and flour.
    Bake 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
    Take out of pans when cool.
    Makes about 3 loaves.
