Harvest Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. diced, unpared, tart apples
    3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. melted oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
    Mix thoroughly,
    but do not beat.
    Turn mixture into a greased 8-inch pan. Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven for 40 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.
