Icing-Cooked - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 egg whites, beaten
    2 tsp. mandarin peel
    1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    1/2 c. water
    1/4 c. powdered sugar
    1 Tbsp. mandarin juice
Preparation
    Cook sugar, syrup, cream of tartar and water until soft ball state.
    Pour syrup in a slow stream over 2 beaten egg whites. Beat for 10 minutes.
    Beat in powdered sugar, mandarin peel and mandarin juice.
    Beat icing until it is a smooth, spreadable consistency.
