Vanilla Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 egg yolks
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. heavy cream
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    2 c. milk
    1/4 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    In double boiler, beat eggs and milk.
    Add sugar and salt. Stir and cook constantly over hot water until thick enough to coat a metal spoon.
    Let cool, then add cream and vanilla.
    Freeze in ice cream freezer.
