Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
3 Tbsp. melted margarine
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 c. water
Preparation

Sift 3/4 cup sugar, flour, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt together into 9-inch square baking pan.
Stir in milk, margarine and vanilla; spread evenly into pan.
Combine in bowl 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa and sprinkle over batter.
Pour water over top and bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
