Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (32 oz.) jar sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
    1 (4 oz.) jar diced pimientos, drained
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/3 c. chopped celery
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seeds
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1/3 c. water
Preparation
    Stir together the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Combine sugar and next 3 ingredients in a small saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and cook, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
    Stir into sauerkraut mixture. Cover and chill for 8 hours or overnight.
    Will keep in refrigerator for several days.
