Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. corn syrup
1 c. water
2 c. raw peanuts
2 tsp. butter or oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. soda
Preparation

Cook sugar, syrup and water to soft ball stage (234\u00b0 to 240\u00b0). Add raw peanuts.
Continue cooking until light brown in color and gives hard crack test (300\u00b0 to 310\u00b0).
Remove from fire and add butter, vanilla and soda.
Mix well.
Pour on a buttered cookie sheet and spread thin as possible.
When nearly cool, turn over and stretch to desired thinness.
Break into pieces.
