Indian Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. cornmeal
    3 eggs
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. molasses
Preparation
    Bring milk to a boil. Add cornmeal.
    Stir constantly until smooth and slightly thickened. Remove from stove. Add eggs, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger and molasses.
    Mix well.
    Put into baking dish about 2-inches deep. Cover with wax paper.
    Bake approximately 1 hour at 400\u00b0 in a pan of water or until wax paper can be lifted without paper sticking.
    Serve hot with vanilla ice cream.
