Pecan Squares - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter or margarine
1 c. dark brown sugar, tightly packed
1 egg, separated
2 c. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. finely chopped pecans
Preparation

Cream butter, sugar and egg yolk.
Add flour and cinnamon; mix well.
Spread onto greased cookie sheet.
Brush unbeaten egg white over batter.
Sprinkle with pecans.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes, the longer, the crispier.
Cool and cut into squares. Makes 4 to 5 dozen.
