Swedish Meatballs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger (not too lean)
    1/2 c. cold mashed potatoes
    1 slice bread, soaked in water and squeezed
    1 egg
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 medium onion, grated
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Except for onion, mix all ingredients (by hand) well.
    Roll into 1 1/2-inch balls.
    Fry in small amount of fat with onion over medium heat until brown, turning frequently.
    Serve with gravy made from drippings.
