Cream Of Tomato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 can tomatoes
    2 tsp. sugar
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 qt. milk
    1 slice onion
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. butter
Preparation
    Scald milk with onion, remove onion.
    Thicken milk.
    Stir constantly, cooking 20 minutes.
    Cook tomatoes with sugar 15 minutes, add soda and rub through a sieve.
    Combine mixtures and strain.
    Serve hot.
