Ingredients

3 lb. lean boned beef or venison, sliced thin (1/4 inch or thinner)
1/2 c. salt
2 c. vinegar
3/4 tsp. garlic powder
3/4 tsp. red pepper (cayenne)
1/2 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 c. liquid smoke
Preparation

Mix salt and vinegar; bring to a rolling boil.
Drop meat in for 30 seconds or until meat turns white.
Drain and blot meat dry.
Mix garlic powder, red pepper (cayenne), garlic salt and liquid smoke well.
Brush mixture on meat.
Put in oven and bake at 175\u00b0 for 2 to 3 hours.
If making at night, it is best if left in oven overnight after oven is turned off.
