Orange Sponge Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 well beaten egg yolks
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. orange juice
1 1/2 c. cake flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
4 stiffly beaten egg whites
Preparation

Beat yolks until thick and lemon colored; add sugar gradually and 2 tablespoons of juice.
Blend well.
Add remaining juice alternately with sifted dry ingredients, mixing until smooth after each addition.
Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites.
Bake in 9-inch ungreased tube pan in slow oven, 325\u00b0, for 1 hour.
Invert pan to cool.
Cover cake with boiled frosting and sprinkle grated rind of 1 orange over frosting before it sets.
