Beef Stroganoff Iii - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms
    3 lb. sirloin, good cut steak, cut in strips
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    3/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 c. Sherry (optional)
    1 stick butter or margarine
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 pt. sour cream
Preparation
    Wash and cut mushrooms.
    Season meat and brown in butter. Transfer to casserole.
    Brown mushrooms in same pan and put them in casserole.
    Put flour into remaining juices in pan and add sour cream.
    Cook over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Pour sauce over meat.\tThis can be prepared the day before.
    Casserole should be heated in a very low oven (250\u00b0 to 300\u00b0) for 1 hour.
    Serves 8.
    Serve with rice or English muffins.
