Perfect Meringue - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 egg whites
    1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until peaks form.
    Beat in sugar, 1 tablespoon at a time.
    Continue beating until meringue is stiff.
    Spread over pie filling and seal to crust.
    Bake in a 400\u00b0 oven until lightly browned.
    Cool in warm and draft free place.
    Covers 9-inch pie.
