Eldorado Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 tsp. minced garlic (optional)
    1/2 c. sliced olives (optional)
    1 c. cottage cheese
    12 oz. Monterey Jack, shredded
    1 Tbsp. chopped onion
    2 (8 oz.) tomato sauce (we've used 1 can tomato paste and jar salsa)
    1 c. sour cream (or 1 c. dill dip)
    4 oz. can green chilies (optional)
    8 oz. tortilla chips
Preparation
    Mix ground beef, onion and garlic in skillet.
    Cook until meat is browned.
    Add tomato sauce and olives.
    Simmer for 10 minutes. Mix cottage cheese, sour cream and chilies.
    Butter a 9 x 13-inch casserole and layer ingredients in the following order:
    Tortilla chips, meat sauce, cottage cheese mix and Monterey Jack; repeat. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Serves 6 to 8.
