Maple Butterscotch Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1/2 c. butter or oleo, melted
    1 1/2 tsp. imitation maple flavoring
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. chopped walnuts
    confectioners sugar (optional)
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine brown sugar, butter and maple flavoring. Beat in the eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to egg mixture. Stir in nuts.
    Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes or until brownies test done. Cool. Dust with confectioners sugar, if desired. Yields 16 brownies.
