Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. white corn syrup
    2/3 c. water
    10 drops flavoring of your choice (cherry, lemon extract)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Mix in saucepan.
    Place on heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved.
    Stir no more.
    Cook to hard crack stage (290\u00b0) on candy thermometer.
    Pour candy onto a buttered pan.
    Let it get cold.
    Tap pan on counter to bust into pieces.
    Sprinkle with sugar.
