Pineapple Coconut Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. crushed pineapple
    2 1/2 c. cake flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. coconut
    4 egg whites, beaten
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; blend well.
    Add well beaten egg yolks, beat until mixture is light and then add pineapple.
    Do not drain off juice.
    Sift flour together with baking powder and salt. Add to first mixture.
    Then add vanilla and coconut.
    Fold in beaten egg whites.
    Bake in a 375\u00b0 oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Yields three 9-inch layers.
