Brunswick Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken (about 3 lb.)
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 (1 lb.) can lima beans
    1 (1 lb.) can whole kernel corn
    1 medium onion
    3 c. water
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. black pepper
Preparation
    Cook
    chicken,
    covered,
    on
    low heat with onion until tender (2
    to 2 1/2 hours).
    When tender, add tomatoes, beans and
    corn. Cook at low boil for 10 minutes.
    Good served with lettuce
    wedge salad, biscuits and butter, apple pie ala mode and milk.
