Venison - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, diced
    3/4 c. water
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1 stick butter
    1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. black pepper
    1 Tbsp. Crisco (solid)
    red pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Marinate venison in 2 tablespoons vinegar and water to cover for several hours or overnight.
    Drain venison.
    Cook in crock-pot on low for 10 to 12 hours with mixture listed.
