Banana Caramel Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    1/2 c. vegetable shortening
    2 c. light brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 very large banana
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Cream butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy; mix dry ingredients together and add alternately to the creamed mixture with 1/2 cup milk. Add vanilla. Mash banana and add to cake mixture. Chop nuts and fold in. Bake in a large tube pan that has been greased and floured. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
