Boiled Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    2 egg whites
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cook sugar, corn syrup and water together until temperature of 248\u00b0 is reached or to the firm ball stage.
    Pour the hot syrup slowly into well-beaten egg whites, while beating constantly.
    Add vanilla and continue beating until the frosting will hold its shape when tossed over the back of a spoon.
