Sausage Corn Bread - cooking recipe

1 lb. sausage
1 large onion, chopped
2 eggs
1-1/2 cups self-rising corn meal
1 can (17 oz.) cream style corn
3/4 c. milk
1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 c. (8 oz.) grated cheddar cheese
Preparation

Preheat oven to 425\u00b0. Grease 10-1/2 inch iron skillet or 2 qt. baking dish. Brown sausage and onion. Drain well. Combine eggs, cornmeal, corn, milk, and oil. Pour half of cornmeal mix in prepared dish. Sprinkle with sausage mixture and cheese. Pour remaining batter on top. Bake 30-40 minutes.
