American Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. small macaroni
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1/2 c. chopped green pepper
    3 stalks celery, finely sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Cook macaroni in 3 cups boiling salted water in saucepan until tender.
    Set aside, covered, for 5 minutes; drain.
    Saute onion, green pepper and celery in butter in skillet until golden; set aside.
