Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 hen
4 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. sweet milk
1 tsp. baking powder
6 Tbsp. lard, melted (I use oil)
Preparation
-
Cut up hen and cover good with water.
Boil until tender. Keep covered with water so as to have plenty of broth for dumplings.
Season with salt and pepper.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder together.
Make a well and pour in milk and melted lard or oil.
Stir together.
