Bean-Mushroom Medley - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 oz. fresh green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces (about 1 1/2 c.)
    2 fresh medium carrots, cut crosswise into halves, then into 3/8-inch strips
    1 medium onion, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    8 oz. fresh mushrooms, cut into 1/4-inch slices (3 c.)
    1/4 c. butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. garlic salt
    1/8 tsp. white pepper
Preparation
    Heat
    1-inch water to boiling in 2-quart saucepan.
    Add beans and
    carrots.
    Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer, stirring
    occasionally
    until almost tender, about 12 minutes. Drain.
    Cook
    and stir onion and mushrooms in butter in 10-inch skillet over medium heat until almost tender, about 5 minutes. Reduce heat.
    Cover
    and
    cook 3 minutes.
    Stir in beans, carrots, salt, garlic
    salt and pepper.
    Cover and cook over medium heat 5 minutes.
    Makes 5 to 6 servings.
